Through our Career Readiness program, we prepare youths with the skills to succeed in their professional lives by addressing the barriers to employment for youth and young adults with disabilities. We enrich our curriculum with real-world experiences, featuring our volunteers – possibly you! We are looking for individuals willing to host guest lectures, a job shadow, or mock interviews. We have opportunities to volunteer virtually as well as in person. Do you want to tell youths about your job in IT, animal services, or community activism? Do you want to help youths with disabilities develop effective resumes and conduct successful interviews? Do you want to show off your place of employment with a job shadow? Then this is the volunteer opportunity for you! If you’re attending post-secondary education, maybe you’d like to talk about the classes you’re taking, your extracurriculars, maybe a cool internship you completed or are looking forward to!We welcome all volunteers 18+ who are interested in engaging directly with youths with disabilities in career and education exploration.
