Volunteer Interpreters for Alzheimer’s Educational Programs

The Alzheimer’s Association is looking for volunteers who can either translate presentations for staff or be trained to give presentations themselves. Presentations cover basic information about Alzheimer’s disease, as well as the programs and services that the Alzheimer’s Association provides.

Family Support Volunteers

In conjunction with Dementia Friendly Massachusetts, the Alzheimer’s Association is training volunteers to provide outreach and delivery of caregiver education, facilitate social engagement events, and provide peer support programs for people living with dementia and their caregivers. The anticipated time commitment for this volunteer role is 16 hours per month. (Extensive training and ongoing support is provided)

Congressional Ambassadors

You'll serve as the lead contact between the Association and a member of Congress. Responsibilities include holding at least five meetings annually in your respective congressional office in MA or NH. One of these visits includes participation in the National Alzheimer’s Association Advocacy Forum in Washington, DC each spring.

Young ProfessionALZ

Walk Planning Committee

We are currently recruiting energetic and outgoing volunteers to join our Walk Planning Committees! Each of our 12 Walk To End Alzheimer's events has a Planning Committee that meets monthly, year-round to work on areas such as community outreach, corporate engagement, logistics and more!

Support Group Facilitator Volunteers

Alzheimer’s Association Support Groups are regularly scheduled in-person or virtual gatherings of people living with Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia, family, and friends. All Alzheimer’s Association Support Group Facilitators attend a full-day training program that focuses on group dynamics, management, and facilitator roles and responsibilities.

Congressional Team Members

You'll work with the Ambassador to help the Association achieve federal legislative goals. Activities may include submitting letters to the editor and promoting Association initiatives to congress members via social media outlets. Team members will also attend meetings in the district offices of their respective congress member and build relationships with the staff.

Data Entry Enthusiasts

Support our Programs & Family Services Department by helping to track important information about our education programs and attendees. As a volunteer, you'll conduct data entry in our Waltham, MA office on an ongoing basis. (ideally during business hours)

Caregiver Speakers Bureau
