Opportunities

Assistant Playground Coach

We’re looking for individuals who are ready to play hard with high-energy elementary students. As an Assistant Playground Coach you will be a play ambassador at recess, model games for kids and play actively, and learn to create a safe and inclusive environment through play.

Junior Coach Partner

If you care about cultivating the next generation of leaders, let’s talk. As a Junior Coach Partner you’ll train our students to be great recess coaches, encourage leadership on the playground, and build community in our schools by collaborating with young leaders.

Sports League Support

If you want to be a consistent, positive role model in kids lives and help them grow through developmental sports leagues, let’s talk. As Sports League Support you’ll promote teamwork and sports fundamentals as a referee or assistant coach in developmental sports leagues, help with league planning and execution, support inclusive coaching for youth participants.

As a Playworks volunteer, you won’t sit on the sidelines. You’ll be trained by one of our play experts who’ll help you jump into the action and make a difference. Whether you want to help build young leaders on the playground, or improve employee collaboration through a playground transformation project, Playworks creates unique volunteer opportunities to fit your needs.

Playworks New England is maximizing recess to bring safe, meaningful play to 65,500 students in 120 elementary schools throughout Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire. Playworks supports classroom teaching and learning in New England by providing safe, healthy, and inclusive play and physical activity to schools at recess and throughout the entire school day. No other organization matches our experience transforming play and recess into tools to support learning.
