Bear-Paw Crew

You can be an ambassador for land conservation in southeastern NH by joining the Bear-Paw Crew! As part of the Bear-Paw Crew, you will be paired with experienced Bear-Paw volunteers to staff the Bear-Paw booth at events across our region - Old Home Days, town fairs, retail openings, and other special events. Your mission is to strike up conversations with your neighbors about Bear-Paw and why you care about conservation.

Membership Development Committee (MDC)

The MDC oversees the membership development and fundraising activities of Bear-Paw. The Membership Development Committee helps develop fundraising policies for the board, create the annual development plan, oversee fund raising strategies, and evaluate fundraising campaigns.

Volunteer Land Steward

Bear-Paw is seeking volunteers to join its Volunteer Land Steward program. If you enjoy being outside and want to help improve conserved lands in your neighborhood, this is the job for you. Land Stewards are assigned to a Bear-Paw property and paired with a more experienced Bear-Paw volunteer to act as a "steward" for that property. Volunteer Land Stewards will receive free training in basic outdoors skills, including map reading, basic compass skills, and how to be safe outdoors.

Land Protection and Stewardship Committee (LPC)

The LPC oversees the land protection activities of Bear-Paw. The Land Protection Committee help develop land protection policies, evaluate conservation projects. The LPC also oversees the annual monitoring of all easements and preservers held by Bear-Paw.

About usEstablished by resident volunteers, Bear-Paw works to conserve open space through outreach, education, and land protection project assistance. We envision a region of scenic beauty and rural character where diversity and quality of life are sustained. Our goal is to safeguard water resources, native wildlife and plant habitat, travel corridors, working farms and forests, the region's inherent beauty, and local recreational opportunities.
