Our mission	Citizen Schools helps all students to thrive in school and beyond through hands-on learning and career mentors.

Opportunities	Catalyst Career Mentor Career Mentors volunteer with us in the classroom to bring our learning content to life, expand student’s social capital, model curiosity and confidence, and empower students to see themselves in future careers. We match students with volunteer mentors that can support students through a hands-on experiential learning project that brings the learning to life and introduces the student to future career pathways. Weekly Adults Individuals, Corporate Teams Virtual, Indoor On-site Weekdays Apprenticeship Citizen Teacher Citizen Teachers are career mentors who will co-teach an apprenticeship that meets once per week for 10 weeks. Students will be introduced to new career pathways while also learning 21st century skills based on curriculum co-created by Citizen Schools and existing partners. Apprenticeships culminate in a student showcase of work. Occasional Adults Individuals Indoor On-site Weekdays Career Pathway Video These pre-recorded videos share career journeys from real-world professionals, helping to expand students’ ideas for their possible futures. Volunteers pre-record videos designed for middle school students to share their career pathways and passion for their role/industry. One-time, Occasional Adults Individuals Virtual Skilled Weekdays

About us	It takes a village for students to thrive. Every student has the potential to thrive in school and beyond, but not all have the opportunities to do so. At Citizen Schools, we believe that equity begins with opportunity. To close the opportunity gap in education, we need systems change, which requires work at multiple levels. We bring students hands-on learning projects with career mentors in school, coach and train teachers to provide these opportunities during school, and share capacity, resources & best practices with other communities.
