Balance Coach Volunteer

Cornerstone VNA is looking for volunteer coaches for “A Matter of Balance”. No previous experience is needed to become A Matter of Balance Volunteer Coach and training is minimal. Once trained, volunteers will be assigned in pairs to facilitate community balance programs that will take place over an 8-week period for 2 hours each week. Volunteers are asked to facilitate at least two balance programs per year.

Hospice Volunteer

Hospice Volunteers assist caregivers and family members with household chores or simply to provide companionship and respite care for family members. We offer an 8-week volunteer training program that focuses on how to provide comfort, support and a reassuring presence to Hospice patients and their families.

Office Volunteer

Senior Companion Volunteer

The Senior Companion Program is a federally-funded volunteer program. The program’s mission is to provide meaningful volunteer opportunities to active adults age 55 years and older serving homebound elders and adults. Qualifying volunteers must commit to 15 hours per week and will receive a bi-weekly non-taxable stipend.

Pet Therapy Volunteer

Cornerstone VNA is currently seeking volunteers with certified therapy dogs to provide home visits to homebound seniors and disabled adults. Pet Therapy Volunteering is a wonderful way for individuals and their dogs to provide support and friendship to patients and community members. All therapy dogs and handlers must be certified through Therapy Dogs International or similar organization and are asked to commit to volunteering at least 2 hours once a week.

Pet Peace of Mind Volunteer

Become a Pet Peace of Mind Volunteer and be a part of a national cadre of individuals who understand the important emotional and spiritual connection pets provide for people during their end of life journey. We offer 3-week Pet Peace of Mind volunteer training programs where you can learn how to assist Hospice patients with the care of their beloved pet(s).

Companion Volunteer

A wonderful opportunity to provide support, respite and friendship to patients, families and caregivers. Give a little piece of your time to help brighten someone’s day. You can choose the time. Companion volunteering is very flexible to your scheduling needs. Share a cup of tea, play a game of cards, or just share some conversation.
