Ways to help

Pet Food Delivery Volunteer

Pet food delivery occurs every 4-6 weeks to accommodate varying volunteer schedules. We currently deliver to Dover, Durham, Rochester, Somersworth, and Newmarket. As our client base increases, we will need more delivery volunteers. Food is either donated or purchased monthly and must be individually bagged and taken the clients at thir homes.

Community Outreach Volunteer

Our Community Outreach (Service) branch needs volunteers to deliver pet food, help provide short term care for pets usually in heir homes, and transport animals to pet-related services. This is a very rewarding volunteer experience, but, most requests come in sporadically and often urgently, so this requires volunteers with a very flexible schedule and dependable transportation.

Therapy Animal Program

If you have a well-behaved, well-mannered and socialized pet who loves people and you have time to volunteer, you may want to consider becoming part of the Pet Partners Therapy Animal Program! ElderPet provides the Pet Partners Handler Course and Evaluations for owners and their pets (as a team!) for visiting animal programs in hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, schools and other facilities. Once completing this process (course and evaluation) and having a veterinary evaluation for the pet, the team is eligible for registration with Pet Partners.
