| Ways to help | Enroot MentorAs a mentor, you are a role model, adviser, friend, and guide helping your mentee to dream big, set goals, and pursue them. All mentees in the Enroot Program are immigrant high school students in Cambridge and Somerville. You will likely guide your mentee in the following areas: building positive relationships, exploring careers, planning higher education, and practicing English.Tutoring with EnrootAs a tutor, you are a one-on-one academic resource for an immigrant high school student in our Enroot Program. Tutees are all immigrant high school students in Cambridge and Somerville. Tutors help with homework, language skills, and study skills. Our staff is on site during all tutoring sessions to support you.Host an InternEnroot students work in internship sites around Cambridge, in municipal offices, local nonprofits, and schools. We are always interested in exposing our students to new and different careers, office environments, and building their professional skills. If your organization or company has the capacity to host an intern, provide supervision and training, and is interested in professionally mentoring a high school intern, we would welcome the opportunity to expand our internship offerings. |

| About us | Our team of adult mentors, tutors, instructors, and case managers helps empower students through a comprehensive multi-year program that facilitates each student to not only succeed, but fulfill their own American Dream. Students are given a lens through which to envision their future in new roles they otherwise might not have imagined. Students graduate college at twice the rate of their peer group, with significant increases in self-confidence and self-advocacy, having discovered unique skills and talents. |
