Kitchen Volunteers

Love to cook and volunteer? Our kitchen might be just the place for you! Due to the nature of this option, we require a 3 month commitment of volunteering. The volunteer slot is from approximate 12pm-4pm, but varies week to week. During this time you will be helping to meal prep, cook, and receive food shipments. You will also be asked to help clean up by sweeping or washing dishes.

How you help FNSP relies on its volunteers to bring a weekly meal to those in need. Volunteers prepare and serve a nutritious 3 course meal to our guests and provide necessary essential items before they leave. It is volunteers who give the program its strength and character and who have been instrumental in ensuring the program runs every Friday!
About us The Friday Night Supper Program was co-founded in 1984 by Arlington Street Church and Dignity Boston. Our dedicated team of volunteers has served over 7,800 meals yearly to disadvantaged people every Friday evening for the past 30 years. Each guest is served a nutritious three course meal consisting of soup, dinner and dessert at their table by our courteous volunteer servers. Our Guest Clothing Closet provides clothing, shoes, toiletries and other essential items to our guests following meal service. On average, FNSP serves 150 guests each Friday night from various backgrounds.
