TELEM Program

TELEM program for teens offers participants the opportunity to dig deeper into social justice issues and to build relationships that make a difference in people’s lives. In this program model, participants volunteer at one service site over a sustained period of time, giving them the chance to build consistent and meaningful relationships with people at their service site.

GBJCL Volunteer

The Greater Boston Jewish Coalition for Literacy (GBJCL) mobilizes the Jewish community to help elementary school children discover the joy of reading. Through partnerships with synagogues, Jewish community organizations, day schools, and local businesses, GBJCL engages volunteers in school-based one-to-one reading tutoring, book drives, and advocacy efforts in under-served communities.

ReachOut!

ReachOut! offers numerous opportunities for Jewish young adults in their 20s and 30s to get involved and make a difference in the Greater Boston community. Examples of service opportunities include: tutoring adults who are working to get their GED, preparing and serving food, spending time with senior citizens, creating relationships with at-risk youth, and removing invasive plant species.
