Our mission	We believe that access to healthy food is a fundamental right.

Opportunities	Just Eats program Monday-Wednesday volunteers packing boxes of produce & dry goods in an assembly-line style at our East Cambridge packing center Recurring 55+, Adults Individuals, Groups (2-10) In Person On-site Weekdays Pack grocery boxes for food-insecure residents in the Greater Boston Area Help Food For Free pack Just Eats Boxes on Mon (11-1:30pm), Tue & Wed (9-11:30am, 12:30-3:00pm). Register at www.foodforfree.org/volunteer Weekly Teens, Adults Individuals, Groups (10+), Corporate Teams Physical, Indoor On-site Weekdays Help Food For Free repurpose rescued food (Heat-n-Eats) You will repurpose rescued food into microwaveable meal trays. Weekly Teens, Adults Individuals, Groups (2-10), Corporate Teams Physical, Indoor On-site Evenings, Weekends Field of Greens Regular volunteers needed on Wednesdays and Saturdays from May to October to help out with seasonal harvest at Lindentree Farms in Lincoln. You must be available at 8 – 12 pm on Wednesdays & Saturdays. Recurring 55+, Adults Individuals Outdoor On-site Weekdays, Weekends Home Delivery program Friday-Sunday Delivery Drivers picking up bringing a route of 8-10 boxes from our packing center in East Cambridge to Cambridge residents in the program (car required) Recurring 55+, Adults Individuals In Person On-site Weekends

About us	Food For Free improves access to healthy food within our community by rescuing food that would otherwise go to waste and creating new distribution channels to under-served populations with an emphasis on utilizing school systems to reach those in need. We envision a future where everyone in our community – regardless of age, income, or ability – has consistent access to fresh, healthy, delicious food. Through a combination of food rescue and transportation services, we give food programs year-round access to fresh fruits and vegetables, while our direct service programs bring food to students, seniors, and others most at risk of hunger.
