Our mission	To create the next generation of Latino leaders who are confident, competent, self-sustaining and proud of their cultural heritage.

Opportunities	Mentoring Sociedad Latina recruits mentors to match with individuals and small groups in our Pathways to Success programs, namely STEAM Team for middle school youth, Escalera for high school youth, and Academy for Latinos Achieving Success for college youth. The time commitment ranges from once a month to twice a week based on mentor availability and youth needs/interests. Occasional, Weekly, Monthly 55+, Adults Individuals, Groups (2-10) Indoor On-site Weekdays College & Career Exploration For those interested in a one-time volunteer opportunity, we host monthly career panels, college campus visits, job shadows, resume reviews, mock interviews, networking events, etc. Volunteers join us for these activities to share their passion, answer questions from youth and provide real-life advice on how to pursue different college and career pathways. One-time 55+, Adults Individuals Indoor None Weekdays Community Engagement Sociedad Latina also seeks volunteers to support with our civic engagement and community organizing efforts related to education reform, health inequity and Latino arts & culture. Volunteers can help host trainings for youth and families, develop high-quality campaign materials (e.g. one pagers/brochures, white papers, social media content) and participate in campaign actions. Occasional 55+, Adults Individuals, Groups (2-10) Indoor On-site Weekdays Fundraising & Visibility Volunteers with expertise in marketing, communications, special events or fundraising are invited to volunteer with our Development team. The time commitment varies based on the project, but in general longer-term volunteers are preferred (at least three months). Since 1999, we have more than quadrupled our organizational budget through aggressive fundraising, partnership development, strategic communications, and data-driven program development. This expansion and improvement of services allows us to empower youth and guide them successfully into post-secondary education and beyond, provide meaningful jobs that build professional and personal skills, expand arts and culture access for all community members, and create progressive change in the community.
