About us

PAACA is dedicated to the prevention and treatment of substance abuse in the South coast region. Our goal is to work with individuals and families effected by substance abuse in an effort to help them find the road to recovery and prevent the onset of substance abuse in young people. PAACA is a consumer driven organization that utilizes many volunteers. With humble beginnings at our first location on Acushnet Avenue in 1983 the agency moved from there to Spring Street to the current location at 360 Coggeshall Street in 1987. The agency is often referred to as the MASH unit in the war on drugs.
