No minimum time commitment is required - you may sign up to volunteer sporadically or on a recurring basis. Documentation for proof of volunteering is available upon request. Guidelines are in place to ensure zero person-to-person contact. Thousands of households in MA and RI cannot reliably access food. Meanwhile, about 40% of it feeds landfills. That’s where Rescuing Leftover Cuisine steps in. Our mission is to prevent consumable excess food from being wasted by redirecting it to feed people instead of landfills! Whether you are 9 or 99, on 2 feet or 4 wheels, solo or as a team, you can volunteer with RLC! An average Rescue Event averages 40 minutes to pick up surplus food or meals prepared for donation from businesses and deliver them to designated recipients using our Food Rescue Website. Food Donors include restaurants, hotels, schools, caterers and others. Recipients include shelters, soup kitchens and other human service agencies who serve people experiencing homelessness, hunger and food insecurity, and eligible households in partnership with local schools and organizations.Video: https://bit.ly/39W0NNF |

| About us | RLC matches food donor partners (businesses) to recipient partners (organizations) based on geography, schedule and needs; and our Volunteer “Rescuers” pick up and deliver the food to designated organizations that provide necessary food assistance to people of all ages, religions, cultures & backgrounds experiencing homelessness, hunger or food insecurity. |
