Ways to help | Therapy Program VolunteersVolunteers assisting directly with the therapy program are trained to side walk, lead, and assist before, during, and after riding sessions. Experience with horses is not required.PublicityVolunteering to assist with publicity can be done in the barn office or in your own home and involves: writing & sending press releases, writing feature articles, photography & video recording, updating info for our website, finding sponsors for riders, making a scrapbook/picture album, or collating responses to marketing.Office HelpVolunteering to assist in the office involves organizing files, assembling mailing packets, and making copies & collating.FundraisingVolunteering to assist with fundraising involves: helping to set-up & serve a meal, baking for a lunch/dinner, donating food, cleaning up after a lunch/dinner, donating raffle or auction items, finding partners or donors for raffles and auctions, selling raffle tickets, helping to organize an event, or writing grants.Horse CareVolunteering to assist with horse care involves: turning out horses (bringing horses to outdoor paddocks), horse training & conditioning, grooming & tacking for a lesson, mucking stalls, cleaning tack, grooming arenas & paddocks, gardening, and landscaping. |
