Offering Virtual Support, Getting Emergency Food & Coordinating Volunteers
A few weeks ago, the SCI AmeriCorps team was planning to come together for the annual Social Capitalist Luncheon. So much has changed, as did their plans for the luncheon. Instead of gathering at a Boston hotel for a special event, they find themselves offering virtual support to their teen groups, getting emergency food to those in need, and coordinating the many volunteers that want to make a difference…including the many stepping up to make masks!
More details coming soon about how the SCI AmeriCorps member service year is adapting to meet the emerging need. Rather than coming together for the Luncheon, we say thanks to all the “”social capitalists”” that are stepping up to care for their neighbors and community members in need!
