When our live-in Shelter Manager is on vacation, we need an adult to spend the night in the building to be a resource and comforting presence for our resident families.

On the weekends, adult volunteers answer the phone, do activities with children, and are a welcoming presence for our guests. During the week, we often seek assistance in the office with mailings, covering the phones, or administrative projects. Teens are welcome with an adult over 18.

If one of your teens enjoys babysitting, you can volunteer to babysit together while our parents participate in workshops, meetings, or special events at the Day Center.

Like to cook? You can prepare a meal at home with your family or friends to deliver to a host congregation. If you’d like to meet our families, we invite volunteers to stay for dinner and share the evening with our guests and their children.

Anyone can volunteer to help. You will get assignments and training that fit with your experience and capabilities.
