You don’t have to be a golf pro or even a good golfer to be a coach. With The First Tee Coach Program, we provide the training you need.

Not all of our volunteer opportunities involve golf; we need support off the course as well. Opportunities include: fundraising/events, operations/administration, mentoring/tutoring, and in-school programming.

Assist our job coaches by helping students develop interview skills and a sense of professionalism, providing or locating job shadowing opportunities for high school students, assisting with resume writing, helping with college research and/or college application process, or providing SAT coaching.

Organize games for youth at their skill level.

Assist with maintenance tasks such as moping, washing windows, washing dishes, vacuuming, maintaining grounds, or assisting with one-time maintenance projects (i.e. painting, repair, etc.).

Provide one-on-one assistance with homework or read with young children during homework lab to strengthen literary skills.

Develop a financial management program for students and adults. Give a mini-lesson in basic money management skills (i.e. balancing a budget, building credit, interest rates, food purchasing, real estate, etc.).

Share a motivational story about your life or career path or share about your expertise in a particular field with high school students. This could be something you’ve done research on, teach, or specialize in.
