SELT needs help in establishing and maintaining trails, removing invasive species, and keeping a watchful eye on our lands. Volunteers for this program visit our owned-lands on a regular basis and report back on observations and help with medium-duty management activities like trail clearing. Our program locations are in need of help: Monday through Friday, from around 10:00 am to 1:30 pm helping serve, clean up, sanitize, package, general meal assistance, plus decorating the locations, working on holiday favors, helping with reservations, and more. Some volunteers come as a group and have helped paint rooms, clean closets, spruce up…

Some volunteers might choose to share their hobbies, talents and special interests, while others provide important emotional support to an individual by simply holding a hand or lending an ear. Volunteers can have regularly scheduled assignments or can come in to help with a specific event, such as a holiday party or a shopping trip…

There are also opportunities for junior volunteers between the ages of 14-18. These special volunteers assist in Webster at Rye’s intergenerational programs. They may help residents hand out treats to children at Halloween, assist in a weekly bowling game or teach someone how to use the computer.

Everyone has a talent to share, and one of the keys to RMCC’s success is tapping into a volunteer’s skills and passion, and then matching it with our needs. A volunteer can help out on the day of a fundraising event, or may be more involved in the committees that plan them. Volunteers may help…

There are many ways to support the mission of Seacoast Community School with a gift of your time: serve on an event committee, become a United Way Reader, sign up for a United Way Day of Caring, help maintain our playgrounds and indoor environments, sort library books, and more!

Help assist with facility and operations projects at Discover Portsmouth and the John Paul Jones house. To include: painting, yard work, minor repairs, light carpentry work and general upkeep. These positions are project based and very rewarding!

Volunteers help keep Gather moving forward. We often need volunteers for the following: counting, sorting and stocking items for the pantry; Meals 4 Kids distributions and events; Meals 4 Seniors deliveries; assisting in on and off site food drives; outreach and fundraising event participation; holiday basket assembly and distribution.

Assist with maintenance tasks such as moping, washing windows, washing dishes, vacuuming, maintaining grounds, or assisting with one-time maintenance projects (i.e. painting, repair, etc.).
